This is a shout-out to my dear friend, Dr. Jamie Wuistinger of Pro Motion Chiropractic in Dallas. This is her magical pregnancy bath. And by pregnancy, I mean anytime. It’s really just a magical bath/soak that warms your toes, heart, soul and leaves you feeling moisturized. Feeling stressed? Try it. Achy muscles? Try it. Need a break? Grab a cup of coffee (or glass of wine postpartum) and try it.
The Best Darn Bath You Will Ever Take (open for debate, but that is my personal take):
4 cups epsom salts
1 cup magnesium chloride
2-3 drops of lavender (sometimes I get feisty and add lemon but use extra caution if you go out in the sun afterwards)
Disclaimer: Do NOT (I repeat, DO NOT) take a bath after nesting and scrubbing that beautiful bathtub of yours clean…especially if you are home alone. Your cleaning skills may make it harder to get traction and when you throw in a baby belly, you may get stuck in the bathtub and have to wait for the water to dry a little before escaping. If you’re my husband, mom, or grandma, this is obviously a hypothetical disclaimer and did not happen in real life.
